Aylant daraxti simarubadoshlar oilasiga mansub bo’lib, uning ilmiy nomi Ailanthus altissima, sinonimi (Ailanthus Glandulosa) . Aylant tez o‘sadigan, odatda balandligi 25-30 m va diametri 1,5-2 m gacha bo’lgan kichik daraxtidir. Uning katta barglari shoxlarida joylashganligi , unga ajoyib chiroy beradi. Barglar uzunligi 0,5-1,2 m 10-40-bargdan iborat bo‘lib, u murakkab patsimondir. Bu o'simliklar juda oddiy: ular deyarli har qanday tuproqda o'sadi va sovuqqa va qurg'oqchilikka bardosh bera oladi. Agar ular ayniqsa qattiq qishda muzlashsa, toj tezda tiklanadi.
